BETSYE
LEDFORD In 1986, I began an adventure that has proven personally
rewarding and professionally fulfilling. Ledford Employee Exchange,
Inc. opened for business on March 15 with a staff of one. I soon
learned that the temporary staffing industry was a totally new concept
for this community and found myself playing many roles at one time:
educator to other businesses and industries regarding the benefits and
services available through Ledford Exchange; counselor and confidant to
applicants and employees; salesman; and whatever else arose at any
given time.
Because of this business, I have had the opportunity to work
with every major industry in Marshall County, learning their operations
and expectations. I have met thousands of people through the years and
have had the privilege of learning from many veterans in the human
resource field. I have also been heavily involved in community affairs
and have served on numerous boards and committees. I am very grateful
to Marshall County, its business leaders and citizenry, for its support
of Ledford Employee Exchange.
JENNIE
CARROLL
I am Assistant Office Manager for Ledford Employee Exchange, Inc. I
joined the Ledford staff in 1990, beginning a career in human
resources. This field is enjoyable and challenging to me because it
encompasses many areas such as working with HR managers and
supervisors, hiring and counseling employees, and staying abreast of
federal and state laws and regulations affecting the employment arena.
While working for Ledford Exchange, I am thankful to have
been allowed to become involved in many community projects. Currently,
I am a member of the Lewisburg Kiwanis Club, president of the Marshall
County University of Tennessee Alumni Association, serve on the Chamber
of Commerce Board of Directors, and I am Ledford's representative in
the county's Adopt-a-School program. Formerly, I have served on the Wee
Care Board of Directors, the United Givers Fund Board of Directors, and
I am a past-president of the Lewisburg Kiwanis Club.
My name is Gwen Wadley and I am
the
employment counselor at Ledford Employee Exchange, Inc. I have
worked in the temporary industry for several years and have been
associated with Betsye Ledford and her team in the past as a friendly
competitor. I knew then I was competing against the best in southern
middle Tennessee. I feel privileged and honored to be a part of this
organization. I am particularly proud of the way Ledford Exchange
gives back to the community.
As employment counselor, I look
forward
to meeting new people and matching them with the perfect job. Meeting
the needs of our existing clients and securing new clients
are also important aspects of my position at Ledford Exchange.
As the administrative assistant at
Ledford Employee Exchange, Inc., I feel privileged to be the first
person to help our customers when they walk through our door. I feel
a great sense of pride in working for a company that appreciates its
customers and makes them feel as one of our family. I have been on
the Ledford team since April 2004. The lives of people have evolved
right before my eyes because of Ledford’s personable service. Seeing
and participating in these positive changes gives me great
satisfaction, joy and motivation to continue giving my all while I am
in this position.
